This project is a commercial created for Black Country, New Road’s new album Forever Howlong. The album explores themes of reinvention, growth, and emotional transformation following a major change within the band. Inspired by this rebirth, the visual direction uses vibrant colors emerging from darkness, layered textures, and energetic motion to represent transformation, experimentation, and optimism.

Black Country, New Road is an English rock band known for blending post-rock, jazz, folk, and experimental influences into cinematic and emotionally driven music. Following a major transition within the band, their newer work explores themes of reinvention, nostalgia, growth, and personal transformation. Their target audience includes younger listeners interested in indie, experimental, and genre-blending music.

Representing a new chapter for the band, the album highlights reinvention, experimentation, and a female-led vocal direction. Following the departure of former vocalist Isaac Wood, the band redefined its musical identity through shared vocal performances and stylistic transformation.

Though losing something can feel like a setback, it ultimately leads to transformation and the creation of a new identity. Reborn and evolving, the band embraces diverse musical styles, exploring the theme of growth. The first single captures this journey with an upbeat, energetic vibe. In the trailer, vibrant, high-saturation hues will appear against a dark background, symbolizing the turning point and representing the band’s rebirth and their optimistic future.
